Good stuff

Intense action, very nice sounds effects, smooth animation. Loved everything, though it's nothing that hasn't been done before.

Zom-B responds:

Thank you a22!

Nice

Would have been perfect without that f*cking annoying ballhead idiot. He wasn't funny :(

The-Swain responds:

And still you gave me a 9; quite a compliment, even if Blockhead didn't tickle your fancy. Thanks for the review :)

Pretty good

I don't like the graphical look. I'd do the characters in flash. The animation just looks stiff and the movements are far from real. And I got that FF8 feeling too. I bet you have once seen the opening demo, at least the part where Squall get's wounded. Anyway to make this more my like add a good intro before the fight, make link look like link, change the music, fix movement. This wasn't bad at all, but not one of my favourites either.

LeviFolds responds:

wel its about 50/50 at this point people who didnt like the theme so im not going to change it...and its 50/50 on how theyre dressed so im not gonna change that either - as far as ff8 or any other ff game for that matter, ive never seen, played nor watched any part of them, with the exception of X and X2 because the commercials are all over television - the initial strike was my own idea

You didn't? Did you? All by yourself?!

This just leaves me speechless. I viewed it with my old computer at first with low quality and it still lagged quite much. Now i've got my new computer with amd athlon 64 3200+ and it runs perfectly. Now I decided to write this review.First off, amazing. You should do animations for living if you don't already. That's just insane. Realistic and gory. You worked on every little detail and effect. And, boy, that shows up. Your movie's crappiest parts look better than most of the flashes I've ever seen. This is just ubelievable. The sound effects where great. The heroine had nice boobs and I like the enemy design too. How on earth do they look so much like the combine of HL2? Coincidence? The violence was alright too, and though many of the drawings where pretty static, but they looked awesome. What is your equipment? Have you got one of those drawing tablets? I think I've said enough. If you ever read this review, I would like to see a reply to some of my questions.

RobsH66 responds:

Sure, I'd be glad to answer your questions.

It's just a coincidence that the soldiers look similar to the Combine from HL2. At the point in time when I created the designs for those guys, HL2 was still in production and I had only seen a couple of concept sketches and screenshots of the Combine soldiers. My soldiers look that way because it's sort of the way I envisioned a generic post-apocalyptic soldier, similar to the guys in Fallout and a lot of post-apoc art that I've looked at over the years. They also bear a strong resemblance to the gasmask counter-terrorists from Counterstrike, because that's just about the only style of soldier that I can draw decently (you might have noticed that Mike from "The Hunt" had a very similar, if not more cartoonish, character design... he was also based on the model from Counterstrike). I think I'm going to get someone else to create the designs for soldiers in future episodes, because all of my designs look too similar and aren't interesting enough.

As for the equipment I used for this movie- I created most of it in Flash using the mouse, by drawing lines with the Pencil tool and then converting them to fills to make them look more hand-drawn. I have a tablet too, but I'm not very good with it so I mainly just used it for creating the fire and explosion graphics, and for adding small details to the characters and backgrounds.

I hope that answers all your questions. If you have any more, feel free to drop me an email.

Good but...

That guy got through the beach like nothing? The longest and hardest part of the whole landing is on the actual beach, before the shingle. Also you had the germans using odd weapons. It didn't quite catch the horrors of the landing. Try watching Saving Private Ryan. You'll notice what I mean by my review. But hey, it's a goof and entertaining movie anyway. Good job.

KillMoochie responds:

i used saving private ryan is inspiration, but i couldnt put to much in because flash was slowing down like hell. but u are right.

hehehe

maycausesuddendeath was so funny xD. Pretty good art and drawings. Add some shading and lights and it's better. And your sound quality (The speech only) should be a bit better.

Kralex responds:

Thanks glad someone likes it.

Just perfect!

The graphics were awesome. And look at those effects, now that's what I call perfect use of Flash effects! Also nice camera angles. So good work, that there is nothing to nag about. And I like stickfigures too :)

Get-lost responds:

Thanks :D

nice tut

Wow. Nothing bad to say about this. I learned a lot. I'm going to try out that explosion thing. Whee. I love you man.

TeknoGames responds:

sry I aint gay. JK thx fer review, And thanks to halo! Aiet :D

Nice...

Was that town Carentan? If so i think they didn't have tanks there and the situation wasn't that desperate for the Americans. But really cool. You know a descent amout of real war history. I saw some idiot (on the P1 review) say that the normandy landing took place on a beach. whatta jerk lol. It's stupid that no one ever does any war flashes that are not already been filmed or made in a game before, but are based in real war history. No one ever does flashes of for example the war on Finland (im finnish). All they do is watch a war movie or play a game and do a cool battle from there. And there are hardly none movies of WW1 either.

makament responds:

Newgrounds needs more people like you.
Myes!

Wow. that was awesome kittie talk! :D

Victor-Orozco responds:

I love kitties ^_^
